Ok day 2 of camp! hmm woke up around 7 cos all the volunteers were woken up by the girls who woke up around 6 plus i think.. argh. Had breakfast some weird gooey noodles which was vegetarian AGAIN. Then took the bus and zoomed off to Pasir Ris Park. Yeah~
Had a treasure hunt and my group was the last again and everyone was super demoralised cos we couldnt find the last missing piece. I suspect that they either forgot to put it in or it got thrown in some rubbish bin or got buried in the sand. :'( Very sad cos all the kids became super demoralised and they didnt want to give up searching de but there wasn't enough time.. :(
After that supposed to have some form of station games but while waiting for them to set up we played captain's ball against some people from another group. And the guys were scary la.. totally ungentlemanly de haha but they were super good at playing :) Went to stand in the sea and feel the water flowing past your legs.. super comfortable. Then i think we had lunch first. Vegetarian fried rice again! again~~
After that was station games but cos there were 6 groups so group 5 and grp 6 didnt play so we just stayed by the side and watched. But it started to rain again which was super sad.. so we couldnt play anything and had to stay inside shelter.. Everyone waited around for a little while then they decided to do balloon sculpting. Their teacher was very good at making the balloons and Rahman was good too.. but in the end all the balloons were burst cos they kids seemed to like stepping on them more. haiz madness. Had a game of poison ball and although the volunteers werent the ones getting thrown at we had to constantly block the balls.. super painful la..
Station games again after the rain seemed to stop for awhile. Luckily we finished the game first then it rained. So back to the shelter and nothing to do. Waited around i think for dinner and bus to go back. Then Jeremy wanted to play poison ball again. And he cried cos he didnt get to play. Super sad leh and their female teacher was super unfeeling. She said to ignore him cos he's no longer a kid and he needs to control his emotions. Which was quite true la.. haiz but in the end we decided to play posion ball again and so he was smiling again haha. So easily contented kids. Must learn from them :D
Then had dinner.. finally it wasnt vegetarian! haha the 4 of us were still suspecting whether it was real chicken or not then when we realised we were super happy! haha carnivores. then went back to school after dinner.. finally a fuller meal haha.
Had some time to bathe and prepare for the skit again. Rehearsed properly around once only. Then performed! haha quite fun "getting killed" haha but all the volunteers had to help direct the kids around. But it was fun la though some were abit difficult to understand haha. Had supper. nice biscuits!Then had a fun time blowing bubbles and playing with light sticks. SIMPLE HAPPINESS :D then the kids washed up and slept. Huiping and I stayed behind to watch the girls while the rest went off for debrief. Then after they came back we went to sleep and woke up at 4 to do night duty again. Haha managed to wake cheeling and huiping up and we sat up for a while. Then i forgot who suggested lets lie down and so we lay down and went back to sleeping! haha.. only huiping woke up at intervals to check on them, cheeling and i slept like pigs haha.
Ok so day 3! last day.. waited for a long time for Veronica to finish bathing whilst the rest assembled downstairs. Had breakfast. Not really vegetarian food! Bread and jam and kaya and biscuits! then the kids left one by one.. so sad... :'( Haiz then later the teacher "chased" us off.. haha then cheeling, hp, yancy, milly and i went to eastpoint to eat MEAT! KFC haha.. super deprived of MEAT haha.. yancy and milly went home first so left the 3 of us to eat. And we saw Jeremy in KFC too! haha so ate with him then went home on the train together. And slept the rest of the next 2 days away. yeah and so thats the end of the camp. so sad. i miss them!! all the cute cute kids.. haiz.. stuck in hall and in stuff that i dont want to be in.. haiz will try hard.
Badminton match later! WEE!~ will try my best.. play for fun de haha but definitely hope can win haha but nvm yeah aza aza fighting! :D
